Louise Bernhardt, contralto, was a winner in the 1930 Walter W. Naumburg Foundation competition. As a Naumburg prizewinner, she made her New York debut recital on October 5, 1930 in Town Hall.

Ms. Bernhardt sang with the Chicago Civic Opera and the American Opera Company. In private life she was Mrs. H. Stanley Hillyer, the widow of a New York realtor.
